Façades
The four façades have their own value in terms of heritage. This architectonic style corresponds to the neo-classicism. They were built in different moments. First, the main façade in 1856 in the Architect Garmendia's project, then the side wings between 1871 and 1884 by the Architect Victor Rabu and finally, the last facade in 1885 by the Engineer Luis Andreoni. The façades had different pathologies like cracks, fissures, micro-fissures and loosening of moldings and plastering. This happened not only because of the time passed, but also because of the fact that the theatre was built over clayey land which provoked movements in the master walls. During the last reform the building was strengthened in its foundations, which consolidated the basic structure.
