A 748-m2 new stage was built, increasing 80% its original surface. Along with the increased height, new metal bridges replaced the wooden old ones that were also highly inflammable, a new lower stage detachable structure and a whole new set of modern stage machinery is the most important transformation since it was opened in 1856. New thermal conditioning system, fire control, last generation fire extinguishing system (including a metal curtain) are part of this stage update modifications.
